A Bit About Me

Hi! I’m Miqdam, a passionate concept artist and illustrator with a strong background in game design, 2D and 3D art, and world-building. My journey into the creative industry began after completing my Bachelor's in Design, when I landed my first role at ICAW Games, a mobile games company. It was there that I first learned the fundamentals of game design and began working as a 2D artist alongside a team of developers, designing multiple mobile games. This experience laid the foundation for my skills in visual storytelling, collaboration, and understanding the intricacies of game development.

I later joined BIG IMMERSIVE, where I started as a 2D Artist and have since grown into my current role as Lead Concept Artist/Illustrator. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a wide range of gaming and Metaverse projects, expanding my expertise beyond 2D art. I’ve learned and embraced 3D workflows and texturing. This diverse experience has helped me adapt to various aspects of the creative process, making me a versatile artist who thrives in the dynamic and ever-evolving gaming industry.
 

While designing characters or environments, I am often inspired by the things I see around me. Having mostly been exposed to Western shows and movies since my childhood, I tend to portray these observations through a unique lens, often blending elements of those influences into a foreign style. This blend of cultural exposure informs my work, giving it a distinctive feel that reflects both my personal perspective and my creative evolution.

December 2016 - December 2017

I started as a 2d Artist at BIG IMMERSIVE, and right now I am working here as a Lead Concept Artist/Illustrator. I have worked on multiple Gaming and Metaverse projects during my time here.
Apart from the 2D side I have also learnt 3D and texturing workflows.

My first job after my Bachelors in design, was here at ICAW games.
This was a mobile games company that mainly worked on multiple projects throughout the month. I learned the basics of game design here and worked as a 2D artist with a team of 2 developers to design multiple mobile games.
